Tabebuia Circle

Three circles held a meeting at the house of Sylvia Hogan on Jan. 24, 2008. The residence was fabulously decorated and a delicious lunch was enjoyed by the members of the Tabebia, Satin Leaf and Jacaranda circles. This occasion was planned to better aquaint ourselves with the other circle members. The guest speaker Karinluise Calasant spoke about environmentally safe ways to care for your garden. Her garden has been featured on the Stuart Garden Club garden tour. By appointment she opens her garden to visitors periodically.
The Christmas gathering was held on Dec. 15, 2007 at the residence of Jean Marie MacKinnon. Everyone brought unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items which were donated to charities. A short business meeting was held followed with hors d'oeuvres, dinner and dessert. Everyone contributed by bringing their favorite dish to pass. Unwrapped gifts brought by everyone were auctioned off to the highest bidder. Close to $300.00 were raised to fund circle initiatives. It was a very productive as well as fun evening for the Tabebuia Circle members and their partners.
Our monthly meeting Nov. 8, 2007, was held at the home of Mary Lerch. After the regular business meeting, Phyllis Gidley demonstrated "Basic Flower Arranging". She made 3 flower arrangements. One arrangement was the choice of the hostess. Two lucky winners received the other 2 arrangements.
